Requesting data deletion
You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time, and we will. Here is exactly how, and what happens next.
Send one email
privacy@socialweb.aiUse the subject line "Data deletion request" and include:
- Your name
- The email address or phone number you used with us
- Which business's website or assistant you dealt with, if you know it
That is all we need. You do not need an account with us to make a request.
What happens, and how fast
If any information has to be kept, we will tell you what and why. The usual reason is a legal one, such as invoicing records we are required to retain for tax purposes. We do not keep anything simply because we would like to.
What gets deleted
- Your contact details and any correspondence
- Conversations you had with an assistant we operate, including any phone number or email you gave it
- Content you supplied to us, such as photos, logos, menus or service lists
- Any stored authorisation tokens for social media accounts you connected
If you visited a client's website
Websites and assistants we run are operated on behalf of the business you were dealing with. You can email us directly using the address above, or ask that business and they can instruct us on your behalf. Either route works.
If you are not satisfied
Contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
Full detail on what we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy.
